ON GENERAL WASHINGTON'S COMING TO TAKE COMMAND AT CAMBRIDGE:
at which time there was a fine rain after a dry season.
Composed by a lady, just after the cruel burning of
Charlestown, by which she lost most of her property.
Shall private cares torment the breast,
  That's to the publick given?
Forbid it all my gen'rous thought:
  Forbid it earth and heaven.
